Gutter-related wood and finish damage

Fascia, Soffit and Rafter-Tail Repair Around Failed Gutters

Water at the roof edge can affect more than the metal gutter. All World Construction LLC reviews visible staining, peeling paint, soft or deteriorated material, attachment points, stucco or trim damage, mysterious water damage, and the limits of what can be seen without opening work.

What to Send First

Photos help confirm project fit and route the practical next step. They are not a final diagnosis, engineering opinion, complete scope, or binding price.

  • One wide photo showing the full gutter run and roof edge
  • Close-up of the leak, seam, end cap, sag, separation, rust, or damage
  • Photo of the outlet and top of the downspout
  • Photo of the downspout route and ground-level discharge point
  • Photo of staining, peeling paint, damaged wood, stucco, erosion, or ponding below
  • Ground-level photo showing building height and access
  • Approximate length or tape-measure photo only when safely available
  • Short rain video only if you already have it and can record safely

Photo-first gutter review

Send Photos for Gutter Review

Send the property address, one wide photo of the gutter run, close-ups of the problem, the downspout and discharge point, and any staining or damage below. Detailed measurements, repair mapping, and a written bid package may require the $250 evaluation fee.

Do not climb onto a roof or unsafe ladder only to take photos. Send what can be photographed safely from the ground, a window, balcony, or existing safe access point.

What Can Be Reviewed

Photos can show staining, loose gutter attachment, visible fascia damage, rafter-tail concerns, soffit damage, stucco edge damage, paint failure, or areas where water appears to run behind the gutter.

Hidden Condition Limits

The visible surface may not show the full condition of fascia, subfascia, rafter tails, wall assembly, or roof edge. The approved proposal is based on visible conditions unless exploratory work is specifically included.

Multi-Trade Coordination

AWC can coordinate gutter removal/reset, wood repair, stucco patch-back, waterproofing details, paint integration, and related finish work when included in the written scope.

When to Use the Site Evaluation

Use the $250 Site Evaluation + Written Bid Package for multi-trade damage, repeated leakage, uncertain water intrusion, substantial replacement, access-heavy work, or approval-driven scopes.

Practical Questions

Can you repair damaged fascia or rafter tails?

All World Construction LLC can review visible fascia, subfascia, rafter-tail, soffit, stucco, paint, and related finish damage when included in the approved scope. Hidden conditions may require a written change order.

Do you repair stucco or paint damaged by gutter leaks?

AWC can coordinate related stucco, paint, waterproofing, trim, and finish work when the approved project includes those trades. Photos help identify whether the request should be routed as a gutter-only review or a broader evaluation.

Can you review mysterious water damage near gutters?

Yes. Photos can help start the review when staining, soft wood, stucco damage, interior water marks, or unexplained roof-edge damage may be connected to overflow, drainage, roof-edge details, or downspouts. Hidden conditions still require field review before a final scope.

What happens if hidden damage is found after removal?

The visible gutter condition may not show the full condition of the fascia, subfascia, rafter tails, roof edge, wall assembly, or drainage route. The approved proposal is based on visible conditions unless exploratory work is specifically included. Additional deterioration, water damage, code issues, access problems, or owner changes may require a written change order.

When is the $250 site evaluation required?

The evaluation is commonly used for replacement, multiple areas, multi-building, HOA, insurance, property-management, water-damage, access-heavy, approval-driven, and multi-trade scopes. Ordinary small cleaning or clearly visible repair requests may not require it.
